LENTHOR ASSEMBLY QUALIFICATION

Just three months after bringing a full service EMS assembly capability on-line, Lenthor Engineering has received a full qualification from ITT Industries.

Lenthor Engineering made a rather dramatic move toward the end of 2007 with the decision to bring on-line a full service EMS capability. Lenthor’s plans were put into motion in July 2007 with the hiring of Matt Kan to lead the effort to provide a full service flex and rigid-flex assembly capability to the marketplace. Beginning on October 3^rd, just three months into the project all equipment had been identified, purchased, received and put into motion. Product began running on the line by mid October.

In November of 2007 Lenthor submitted the first of 6 part numbers under contract with ITT Industries, for full qualification of their assembly process. In January of this year, three months from the first product run, Lenthor received qualification of the last of those six part numbers.

Lenthor is continuing to expand its new assembly capability with additional equipment and personnel. With the expansion, the customer base is growing quickly as they recognize the benefits of having their product assembled by the same people and facilities that fabricated their circuits.

The list of customers taking advantage of this new capability is not limited to the Military and Defense sectors. The list of companies is growing to include Semi-Conductor Equipment manufactures, Medical Device companies as well as Telecommunications.
